Hy-Vee's Bakery is seeking a skilled Cake Designer to turn customer visions into beautiful cakes for birthdays, weddings, and celebrations. You will decorate creations, manage daily orders, and work closely with the bakery team to keep production smooth and accurate.

The role emphasizes decorating artistry, customer interaction, and on-site wedding cake setup, with leadership responsibilities for part-time staff. Prior baking experience is valued; training is provided.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.
• Ability to decorate cakes and follow customer specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers and take bakery orders.
• Set up a timeline and production schedule for daily cake orders.
• Decorate bakery items with current designs and trends.
• Develop daily bakery orders for bakers including cake sizes.
• Lead part-time employees and coordinate with the bakery team.
• Deliver wedding cakes on site and ensure proper setup.
• Maintain sanitation and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Answer phones and provide friendly, helpful service to customers.
