Job summary

The GIANT Company is recruiting for bakery team members to support daily operations in our Middletown, PA location. The role involves starting shifts with schedule reviews, ensuring required PPE, and preparing duties to run smoothly.

Duties include frosting, decorating cakes, taking and fulfilling bakery orders, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding food safety standards. Prior experience is preferred; strong reliability and ability to meet performance standards are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes and decorate with colored frosting.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
