Panera is seeking a General Manager to oversee bakery-cafe operations, driving sales growth and maintaining Panera’s standards of hospitality and warmth. You will lead staffing, coaching, and people development while ensuring food safety and quality, and you will manage profitability in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and a commitment to a culture of teamwork and guest delight.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to drive positive results and understand the business.
• Completed Advanced Leadership Development Program for AGM development.
• Demonstrated ability to run great shifts and coach team members.
• Minimum age - 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality bakery-cafe operations while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrate leadership in staffing, scheduling, people development and succession planning.
• Drive accountability for the success of the bakery-cafe by making key decisions and solving problems.
• Act as a role model and demonstrate professional behavior to team and guests.
• Uphold food safety standards and coach adherence to them.
• Upgrade and improve bakery-cafe operations; maintain product/service quality.
• Follow policies, procedures and comply with regulations.
• Hire, train, motivate and manage performance to ensure staffing and service standards.
• Lead cafe through people development, planning and prioritization; build experts within the team.
• Manage sales growth and profitability; control labor and costs.
