Bakery Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager)

Base pay range

$20.05/hr - $35.00/hr

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Team Leader in daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.
  • Lead and develop Team Members, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to SOPs.
  • Develop store layout and product merchandising strategies.
  • Achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets in collaboration with the Team Leader.
  • Analyze sales reports and labor data to inform decisions.
  • Maintain good vendor relationships and ensure proper paperwork processing.
  • Serve as the point person and departmental leader in the absence of the Team Leader.
  • Foster a positive team environment, promote morale, and ensure excellent teamwork.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and questions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate Team Members to promote growth and high performance.
  • Communicate WFM vision and goals effectively.

  • Use of hands for grasping, manipulating, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work in various temperatures and conditions, including wet and dry environments.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Operate tools and heavy machinery as needed.
