Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a team member to support Bakery operations, including receiving, preparing, stocking, and displaying products while upholding WFM standards.

You will engage customers, maintain clean displays, learn product details, and contribute to a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and teamwork. Flexible scheduling and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to learn and know products carried in department.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full and appealing.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly and politely; uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment and equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
