Job summary

ShopRite in Inserra NJ is seeking a Baker Assistant to support the Bakery Manager with daily production, dough handling, icing, packaging, and display of pastry items. The role focuses on a clean, safe, and visually appealing Bakery department and requires reliable teamwork and compliance with all safety rules.

Responsibilities include preparing trays, rotating stock for freshness, following recipes, and assisting in other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to follow time and attendance policies.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness and proper signage.
• Assist customers with service and provide prompt, courteous help.
• Receive, code date, store, and price mark products as required.
• Follow safety and QA standards and company policies.
