ShopRite of Edgewater Commons in Edgewater, NJ is seeking a Baker (Inserra NJ) to support the Bakery Manager with pastry and bread items, dough mixing, icing, packaging, and production duties. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and customer service in a fast-paced retail bakery.

You will work in a team, maintain a clean, organized department, follow recipes, handle equipment safely, and comply with company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Maintain department sanitation and QA standards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, or color.
• Set up, operate, and tend equipment used in bakery production.
• Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness and proper product rotation.
• Prepare trays and handle special order requests as needed.
• Complete all department training programs and follow safety procedures.
