Job summary

ShopRite of Waretown in New Jersey is hiring a Baker (Saker NJ) to support the Bakery Manager with daily duties including baking, dough mixing, icing, and packaging of pastry and bread items. You will help maintain a neat, inviting department and ensure product quality while following safety and sanitation standards.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the willingness to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs.; occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Sanitize surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate merchandise and ensure freshness.
• Set up, operate, and tend bakery equipment according to recipes.
• Follow QA, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
