Job summary

Food City is seeking a Food Service Associate to support daily operations in a customer-focused environment. You will assist with food preparation, baking, stocking, and maintaining product quality while ensuring friendly service in a fast-paced store setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and the potential for cross-training across departments. On-site work with flexible shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous customer service in support of the mission to Run the Best Store in Town.
• Maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere through teamwork.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare and produce quality food and products to meet customer expectations.
• Bake bread, rolls, pies, and cookies per guidelines.
• Complete daily production sheets and rotate stock appropriately.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Follow Food Safety program and participate in cross-training.
