Job summary

ShopRite of Kings Commons in Middletown, NJ is hiring a Baker in the Bakery department. You will assist the Bakery Manager with baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging and filling of designated pastry and bread items, while keeping the department neat and inviting.

Applicants must lift up to 50 lbs, stand long shifts, read and follow recipes, and work with fresh products in a friendly, safe environment. On-the-job training emphasizes safety, presentation, and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Able to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Maintain department sanitation and QA standards.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness.
• Follow recipes and operate equipment as required.
• Perform duties in accordance with safety and QA standards.
