Hootin' Gluten Free Bakery in Damariscotta, ME is seeking a Bakery Assistant to join our energetic team. You will help with bakery prep and bake a variety of bars, brownies and cookies, bringing consistency and quality to every batch in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

This paid position runs Monday through Thursday, 6am to 2pm, with opportunities for advancement and paid time off. Candidates with food-handling knowledge or kitchen experience are preferred, and we are happy to train the right

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry work is desirable.
• Willing to train the right person.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bakery prep and baking of bars, brownies and cookies.
• Handle food safely, prepare ingredients, and maintain workspace cleanliness.
• Follow all food handling procedures to comply with health regulations and safety standards.
• This position is Monday thru Thursday 6am - 2pm.
• Experience with Hobart mixers and bakery production enhances workflow.

In this energetic role, you will assist in bakery preparation , baking an assortment of Bars, Brownies & Cookies. Duties

• Assist in bakery prep & other processes including flour mixes & blends, and baking to ensure fresh, delicious offerings.
• Support kitchen operations by handling food safely, preparing ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the workspace.
• Follow all food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
• Following directions is essential
• This position is Monday thru Thursday 6am - 2pm
