Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Team Member in Powell, Ohio. You will help prepare and bake products to ensure the freshest offerings for guests while delivering exceptional service and building relationships with customers.

The role emphasizes following scratch recipes, maintaining safety, and assisting guests with product selection. Eligibility includes being 18+ with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6 to 12 months or completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
• Experience in Bakery or related industry preferred
• No High School diploma required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work and bake according to scratch and standard recipes
• Prepare and portion products per recipe and bake to required times/temperatures
• Maintain product quality, freshness, and proper dating
• Assist customers, answer questions, and demonstrate suggestive selling
• Keep bakery area clean, safe, and sanitary per regulations
• Unloads deliveries and maintains backroom, cooler, and freezer efficiency
