Job summary

Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a dedicated Baker to produce breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using our trusted recipes. You will measure, mix, shape, and bake items, decorate specialty desserts, and ensure consistent quality.

You’ll maintain a clean, safe work area, rotate ingredients, and keep display cases attractively stocked. Customer questions and special orders are handled with friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, and bake products; decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe work area; rotate and label ingredients; keep cases well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Partner with bakery team to plan daily production needs and ensure smooth operations.
• Assist customers with product questions and special orders, delivering friendly, efficient service.
• Support fast-paced, high-quality production while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
