Nino Salvaggio is currently looking for a Baker for our Troy location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Roll, knead, cut or shape prepared dough to form pie crusts, tarts, cookies or other products.
- Place prepared dough, pastries or cake mixes in pans, mold or sheets and bake in production ovens or on grills.
- Observe products being baked and adjust oven temperatures, humidity or conveyor speed accordingly.
- Check the quality of products to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
- Check equipment to ensure it meets safety and health regulations and perform maintenance and cleaning, as necessary.
- Order or receive supplies or equipment.
- Prepare or maintain inventory or production records.
- Operate slicing or wrapping machines.
- Apply glazes or toppings to baked goods using spatula or brushes.
- Handle any damaged and/or spoiled product according to guidelines and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
- Comply with safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Notify management immediately of any safety or equipment issues or violations.
- Assist in training associates when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work early mornings and have some weekend availability.
- Previous baker experience, preferred.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods.
