Uncle Giuseppe’s Gourmet Bakery is seeking an experienced overnight Baker from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM to join our team in Morris Plains, NJ. This role offers a $25-$27 per hour wage plus full benefits and a $1,000 signing/attendance bonus, paid in two installments for perfect attendance.

You will craft a wide variety of baked goods, ensure quality, and support overnight production while maintaining safety and efficiency. English fluency and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal baking education or culinary training is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on baking experience in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and presentation for baked goods.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to consistency and quality.
• Must be able to speak, read, and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to work the overnight hours from 10pm to 6:30am.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods including pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, and more using mixers, ovens, blenders, and other baking equipment.
• Conduct quality checks on ingredients and final products to maintain food safety and excellence standards.
• Interact with customers by answering questions, taking custom orders, processing payments, and delivering warm, friendly service.
• Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and special orders.
• Ensure all client orders are fulfilled correctly and delivered on time.
• Clean and restock workstations, maintaining a safe, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Support the bakery team with additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Overnight roles are eligible for a $1,000 signing and attendance bonus, paid in two installments: $500 after three months and an additional $500 after six months, provided perfect attendance is maintained.

This overnight Baker position is within our union and is offering a salary of $25-$27/hr plus full benefits.
