Job summary

Deer Valley Resort in Utah is seeking a Baker I for the winter season to assist in the presentation, display, and production of baked goods with emphasis on quality and service.

This seasonal position is part of a premier mountain resort team and offers staff perks such as ski benefits, subsidized meals, housing options, and a 401k plan. Experience in baking or culinary school is required, with shifts including early mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months of baking experience or culinary school.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift and carry full sheet pans.
• Must be able to work early morning and evening shifts.
• Customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing baked goods and other items per recipes.
• Display baked goods creatively and keep displays stocked and clean.
• Provide courteous guest service in person or on the phone.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Baker I is responsible for assisting in the presentation, display, and production of baked goods and pastries, with an emphasis on quality, appearance, and service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in preparing baked goods and other items as needed, following the designated recipes and procedures
• Display baked goods creatively and keep displays well-stocked, clean, and organized
• Present a courteous attitude to guests, going out of the way to offer assistance, on the phone or in person
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early morning and evening shifts
