Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Baker to prepare fresh breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and production methods. You will measure, mix, shape, and bake products, and decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.

You will maintain a clean, well‑stocked display, plan daily production with the bakery team, and ensure high quality and consistency. Customer interaction, efficiency, and attention to detail help create a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using recipes and production methods.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe work area; rotate and label ingredients; display products attractively.
• Assist customers with questions, take special orders, provide friendly and efficient service.
