Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Baker to produce fresh breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts from established recipes, while delivering friendly service. You will measure, mix, shape, bake, decorate, and ensure safe, clean, and well-stocked display cases.

You’ll collaborate with the bakery team to meet daily production needs and help create a positive customer experience. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail and reliability for early shifts, with opportunities to assist customers

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to provide friendly, helpful service while handling requests.
• Baking and production knowledge for breads, pastries and desserts using recipes and techniques.
• Attention to detail to follow recipes and maintain quality, consistency and presentation.
• Organization and time management to plan production and keep a clean workspace.
• Food safety awareness and proper sanitation practices.
• Team collaboration to work with bakery staff to run daily operations.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with changing production needs.
• Technical and equipment use to operate mixers, ovens and bakery gear safely.
• Physical capability to stand long periods and lift/move items in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes and desserts using established recipes and methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, bake and decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; rotate and label ingredients; keep cases stocked and appealing.
• Collaborate with bakery team to plan daily production and meet customer needs.
• Assist customers with product questions, take special orders, and provide friendly service.
