Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in Wichita is seeking an Assistant Baker to support the Baker in producing high- quality cakes according to our proprietary recipes and strict standards. You will prepare ingredients, operate mixers and ovens, and help with the daily baking workflow to ensure on-time production for guests.

The role requires diligent attention to measurement accuracy, adherence to safety guidelines, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• No formal education required, bakery or foodservice experience is a plus.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision to achieve productivity goals.
• Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
• Assist baker with preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking, placing pans into a hot oven, and monitoring the baking process.
• Assist baker with daily baking and production processes.
• Adhere to proper packaging and storage of baked cakes.
• Follow product rotation standards and maintain baking and refrigeration logs.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock workstation and assist baker to prep for next shift.
• Comply with health and safety guidelines and NbC policies, including dress code and hygiene.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Learn the Froster position to assist bakery scheduling
