Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Baker at Texas Christian University. You will prepare baked goods per recipes, weigh ingredients, and bake items to ensure high quality in taste and appearance. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds, with occasional heavier lifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 years of related bakery or pastry experience.
• Experience in a bakery or pastry role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to prepare a variety of baked items from scratch.
• Accurately weigh ingredients, mix doughs and batters, shape and bake items to perfection.
• Regulate oven temperatures and ensure products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures.
• Set up and stock the bake shop area, maintain proper storage, labeling and dating, and keep the bakery clean.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds (occasionally 50 pounds).
