Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles seeks a Baker/Caterer in Nutrition Services. Under the supervision of the Chef, you will prepare breakfast breads and desserts for patient meals, café menu, and catered functions.

In the role of caterer, you are fully responsible for planning and executing approved catering functions, working closely with chefs, kitchen staff and managers to ensure events run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Professional baker’s training and/or Culinary Arts training preferred.
• Minimum of two years baking and/or catering experience in a hospitality setting preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of hire; ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast breads and desserts for patient meals, café menu and catered functions.
• Plan, prepare and execute approved catering functions.
• Work closely with chefs, kitchen personnel and managers to execute events.
• Maintain stock levels and submit grocery requests and invoices as needed.
