Job summary

Boyd Gaming in Indiana is seeking a Baker to prepare cakes, pies, bread, rolls, muffins, Danish and other pastries according to recipe. You will help ensure quality items for guests and staff in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities include following production schedules, maintaining a clean environment, operating bakery equipment, and applying toppings to many pastries. The role requires flexibility with shifts and a culinary background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must comply with Belterra policies for safe operations.
• Team-based environment experience preferred.
• Flexible to varying shifts and schedules.
• Ability to interpret verbal or written instructions.
• Experience in mixing and measuring ingredients; kitchen equipment skills.
• Culinary or apprenticeship background preferred.

• Spreads or sprinkles topping such as jelly, cinnamon, and poppy seeds on specialties.
• Places pans of dough in proof box to rise.
• Inserts pans of raised dough in oven to bake.
• Adjusts drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature.
• Removes baked goods from oven and places goods on cooling rack.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma preferred but not required.
• Culinary or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
