Job summary

Island View Casino Resort in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Buffet Baker to produce high-quality baked goods for guests and manage large batch orders in a busy casino kitchen.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED with 2–3 years of bakery experience, and possess skills in patisserie, sugar work, chocolates, confections, baking, and cake decorating, including following recipe specifications and understanding dietary needs. This is a full-time position paying $15.00 per hour.

Job description

Must have extensive food and ingredient knowledge, including that of special diets and food allergies. Must have a demonstrated ability to operate most commercial kitchen equipment.

Must possess culinary skills such as patisserie, pulled sugar, chocolates, confections, baking, and cake decorating, including the ability to follow a recipe or other specification. Must possess basic food and ingredient knowledge, including special diets and food allergies.

Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent and two to three years of previous experience working in a bakery preferred.
