Job summary

ROCKWOOL Byhalia, MS is seeking a Robot Operator to join the production line and help meet production goals. The role operates on a 5:00 AM–5:00 PM 2-2-3 rotating schedule, using WinCC to control unit loads and respond to alarms.

You will load pallets, adjust equipment, and troubleshoot as needed while maintaining safety and efficiency. Join a team focused on safe operation, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine set-up and operation.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to HS&E standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate Robot Load Unit (Robot) and adjust as needed using WinCC.
• Respond to alarms and clear jams.
• Load/maintain pallet de-stacker per procedures.
• Maintain and adjust hooder, labeler, and strapper equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report issues to supervision.
• Prepare for product changes in advance of production runs.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow safety rules.

Robot Operators are members of the Production line and work as a team to ensure production goals are achieved.

The position is scheduled from 5:00AM-5:00PM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

What you will be doing:

• Operate Unit Load (Robot) - including use of WinCC and making the necessary adjustments.
• Respond to alarms, including clearing up jams etc. along the lines.
• Load/maintain pallet de-stacker according to the proper procedures.
• Maintain strapper - including change of rolls and adjusting tension.
• Maintain hooder - including change of rolls and adjusting tension.
• Maintain labeler - including change of label rolls and printing ribbons.
• Clearing jams on the labels
• Optimize machine operations in alignment with production needs.
• Actively troubleshoot equipment and machines.
• Prepare for product change in advance of the production.
• Notify Lead Hand or Supervisor of any problems.
• Communicate any unusual conditions, equipment breakdowns or needs for repair.
• Complete shutdown tasks according to shutdown procedures or checklists
• Maintain a clean safe workplace.
• Work in a safe manner and follow all established safety rules.
• Inform next shift of any problem or task you are aware of and needs attention.
