Vancouver Airport Authority in Vancouver, WA is seeking an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright for Baggage Handling Systems. The role maintains and repairs baggage system components to ensure peak reliability for 24/7 airport operations.

The position requires a Red Seal Endorsement or Trade Qualification, plus two years’ experience with mechanical/electrical equipment, plus SCADA familiarity and strong safety focus. On-site with rotating shifts and premiums.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Four years of Technical College with Red Seal Endorsement or Trade Qualification as Industrial Mechanic/Millwright.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities, including troubleshooting and report writing.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and restore system functionality using SCADA software; minimize downtime and decide on repairs while following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with planning, controls, and other departments to execute complex repairs and support field operations.
• Perform maintenance per plans; refine workflows, assess lifespans, and manage lockout requests for efficiency and safety.
• Conduct infrastructure assessments and maintain detailed reports in maintenance tracking systems; support asset management to extend equipment life.
