Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking an on-site Baggage Services Associate in Orlando to coordinate baggage check-in and handle misrouted baggage. You will read IATA tickets, screen interline passengers, and ensure correct baggage tagging while guiding passengers with issues and coordinating with carriers.

The role requires 18+, ability to lift 70 lbs, and flexible shifts including weekends/holidays. Flight benefits through Frontier, insurance options, paid training, and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and Arrivals areas.
• Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Prior Customer Service Experience Strongly Preferred.
• Intermediate Computer Skills Required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and handle customer baggage check-in and misplaced/lost baggage claims.
• Provide reports to carriers.
• Assist customers with travel information.
• Read IATA tickets to determine flight departure times and connecting carriers.
• Screen interline passengers prior to placing bags on the interline return belts.
• Ensure baggage tagging is correct.
• Direct and assist passengers with mis-checked or short checked bags.
• Handle misplaced/lost baggage claims and provide reports to carriers.
• Evaluate customer’s needs concerning airline locations.
• Meet the station’s attendance standards.
