Job summary

BEUMER Group in Denver seeks an Assistant Manager, System Specialist to lead maintenance for baggage handling systems in a fast-paced airport environment. You will oversee technical teams, drive preventive checks, and coordinate with remote hotline for project support.

Expected skills include leadership, PLC/controls hardware knowledge, and strong communication. This is a full-time on-site role with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree with 3–5 years of maintenance experience on Material Handling Systems (ideally baggage handling systems).
• Electrical, mechanical, PLC and controls hardware skills are required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airside security access.
• On-call hours and potential night shift hours as operational needs require.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and adherence to health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support team leadership on the technical aspects of the systems, communicating vision and strategy to team members.
• Develop, inspire and motivate the team, maintaining accountability for results when delegating.
• Organize technical resources and workflows to ensure plans are met or exceeded.
• Drive continuous improvement for the assigned team and scope of work.
• Coordinate with remote Hotline for key project support.
• Lead major stoppages and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee preventive checks, PLC and server hardware maintenance and support.
• Supervise project and team KPIs as determined by company and customer.
• Oversee warranty cases and related activities.
