Job summary

PopUp Bagels Hadley is hiring an Assistant Manager (Bagel Sous) to support our Shop Leaders in delivering superior hospitality and cooking excellence. You will master each bagel station, train teammates, and drive pre-shift planning and shift execution while maintaining high standards and safety.

You will work closely with the Bagel Chef to ensure smooth operations, accurate orders, and proactive guest issue resolution, with opportunities to grow as the business expands.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership experience in a restaurant/hospitality environment.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Desire to create exceptional employee & guest experiences.
• Eye for detail and problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to pitch in wherever necessary.
• Desire for growth in our restaurants.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements (frequently lifting up to 25 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate culinary standards and hospitality.
• Train teammates on stations, recipes, and procedures.
• Manage prep lists, waste logs, and inventory with the Bagel Chef.
• Delegate tasks and manage shifts and breaks.
• Open and close the restaurant using checklists and clear communication.
• Lead pre-shifts and support the Chef’s agenda.
• Ensure order accuracy for walk-ins, pickups, and deliveries.
