Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center's Dong Lab is seeking a Research Technician to support study of human bacterial pathogens. You will assist in routine experiments, maintain meticulous lab records, and collaborate with other labs nationwide under the supervision of the PI and research staff.

Responsibilities include inventory management, data generation for publications, and assisting with grant submissions while adhering to biosafety and IACUC guidelines.

Qualifications

• 4 years of research experience with bacteria.
• Education may substitute for experience at year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage lab inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies, reagents, and media.
• Maintain a current Laboratory Notebook documenting calculations, work, experiments, and results.
• Perform collaborative studies with other research laboratories across the US.
