Job Objective:

Provide excellent customer service to donors at the store entrance, maintain a clean and organized donation area, and handle transactions accurately.

Essential Functions:

1. Present a professional appearance, adhering to the dress code.
2. Greet donors warmly and offer assistance.
3. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the donation area.
4. Manage operations and security while on duty.
5. Receive and document donations, collecting email addresses from donors when possible.
6. Safeguard donated materials and equipment.
7. Track donations according to center policies.
8. Politely inform donors of unacceptable materials.
9. Advise donors of pickup services for heavy items.
10. Sort donations as they arrive, where applicable.
11. Report complaints, damages, injuries, or incidents near the donation area.
12. Sort, load, and unload Salvation Army trucks per policy.
13. Support production processes as needed.
14. Maintain flexibility to accommodate a varied schedule.
