Job summary

System One is seeking a Sr. Production Control Specialist - A in Cape Canaveral, FL, to lead backlog remediation and schedule execution on an onsite 6-month to 1-year contract. The role focuses on reducing idle orders, expediting hot jobs, and ensuring data integrity across ERP/MRP systems.

Occasional off-nominal shift coverage is included to keep WIP moving. You will partner with the core Production Control team, own defined backlog tasks, and support other centers as backlog clears, while

Qualifications

Experience with schedule management, expediting, or backlog/data clean-up in a manufacturing or production environment.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Costpoint, or similar).
Ability to work independently on a defined backlog with minimal ramp-up in a high-tempo environment.
Willingness to support off-nominal shifts (B/C/D) as coverage gaps arise.
Backlog remediation, data cleanup, or expedite work experience is preferred.
Proficient with MS Project and MS Office; familiar with Jira/ITS.
Aerospace or automotive production experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Drive down the work-order backlog: dispositioning idle/no-need-date orders and closing orders.
Execute targeted expedite efforts on hot jobs to prevent schedule slip.
Provide off-nominal shift coverage and move WIP when needed.
Maintain MRP/ERP data integrity and communicate daily status.
Flag constraints or blockers to area leads and leadership.
Partner with the FTE PC team and carry standing work-center ownership.
When backlog clears, support other work centers while minimizing technical debt.
