C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC in Chester, NY is seeking a Backhauler to join a small team to unload trailers of food products and break down pallets to meet warehouse specifications. The 2nd shift starts at 7:00 PM and the pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, receive products, record dates, and move pallets from dock to aisles. Travel is not required. Benefits start day one, with medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge: physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 60 lbs and exposure to cold/freezer environments.
• Special skills: pallet jack operation, teamwork, attention to detail, problem solving and compliance with policies.
• Physical abilities: stand/walk up to 12 hrs; lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Compile un-palletized products onto pallets.
• Maneuver pallets from dock to correct aisles.
• Operate electric pallet jack, clamp machine, or sit-down forklift.

Position Overview

As a Backhauler, you will work in a team of 3-5 team members to unload trailers of food products and break down product to meet warehouse specifications.

Job Description

• Earn $21.00hr per hour
• Shift: 2nd start time 7:00PM
• Location1 Elizabeth Drive Chester, NY 10918

You will contribute by:

• Receive product, record code dates and breakdown pallets of product according to receiving procedures
• Compile un-palletized products onto pallets
• Maneuver pallets of product from the dock to correct aisles
• Operate an electric pallet jack/clamp machine/sit-down forklift to move pallets of product off inbound trucks
• Work must be performed at minimum levels of productivity to prevent back-log of product/trucks

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Specialized Knowledge : Physical Requirements: You will be constantly standing, walking, riding, carrying, twisting, bending, balancing, seeing, hearing, and handling paperwork. You will be lifting objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 80 lbs. And occasionally you will be pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping!
• Special Skills : Ability to operate pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment (MHE). Communication skills, team player, attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills. Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Physical abilities: : Must be able to safely and efficiently lift up to 60 lbs. Stand/ walk for up 12 hrs.
