Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is hiring a Loader for our Hatfield, MA facility. You will load pallets, operate forklift and pallet jack, and ensure trailers are loaded safely with accuracy. This full-time role includes training, weekly pay and benefits from day one.

The position is 2nd shift with a requirement to work Sundays; you will handle perishable goods in a refrigerated environment and contribute to safe, efficient loading operations.

Qualifications

• Must have GED or High School Diploma.
• Certified forklift and pallet jack operator.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers and prevent damage.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack during loading.
• Inspect trailers for damage prior to loading.
• Utilize RF handhelds and voice systems to verify loading.
• Wrap pallets, perform housekeeping, and complete equipment checks.

You will contribute by:

Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers and ensure damage is avoided.

• Operate forklift and pallet jack.

• Inspect trailer for damage before loading.

• Utilize RF handhelds and/or voice to verify loading of pallets.

• Wrap pallet and stretch wrap.

• Operate battery changing hoist.

• Keep work area clean.

• Complete inspection forms on equipment operated.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge : Certified forklift and pallet jack operator.

• Special Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, ability and other characteristics required: Demonstrates commitment and ability to work safely. Show reliability and maintain satisfactory attendance. Produce quality work. Ability to maintain required productivity/work expectations. Ability to operate required materials handling equipment (MHE).

• Physical abilities: : Never balancing, sitting. Occasionally climbing up to 4 ft. (Must have fall protection training and using proper fall protection equipment). Occasionally smelling, crawling, kneeling, and talking. Occasionally, feeling, fingering, gripping and carrying up to 60 Lbs. Frequently lifting up to 60 Lbs. Continuously stooping, pivoting and reaching (level: Waist/overhead, etc.). Continuously standing and walking on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. continuously handling hearing, seeing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
