A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Background Investigator Position type: Full-time, Contract Duration: 6 months, possible extension Location: Kennett Square Pennsylvania 19348

About the Opportunity: We're looking for a Background Investigator, where you'll play a pivotal role in protecting one of the nation's most sensitive and highly regulated industries.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive background investigations for individuals seeking unescorted access to nuclear generation facilities.
• Verify and evaluate personal, professional, and security-related information to determine an individual's trustworthiness and eligibility.
• Support onboarding and in-processing activities, particularly during plant outages and peak operational periods.
• Perform personnel risk assessments to identify and mitigate insider threats, including fraud, theft, workplace violence, domestic terrorism, and reputational risks.
• Adjudicate background investigation findings while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on security screening processes, investigative standards, and access authorization policies.
• Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations and compliance frameworks, including NERC, FERC, and nuclear security requirements.

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service, administrative operations, background screening, security, compliance, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Capability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, especially during high-volume outage and onboarding periods.

Pay Range and Benefits

• Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
