Job summary
Claxton Logistics is seeking an experienced Maintenance Plumber with backflow prevention expertise to support potable and recycled water systems at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. You will inspect, test, certify, troubleshoot, and repair backflow devices across the installation, performing each service safely and on contract schedule.
The role requires current backflow certification (AWWA/ABPA), California D1 Water Distribution Operator certification or higher, and a Recycled Water Site
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of backflow testing/repair experience.
- Backflow Device Tester certification (AWWA or ABPA).
- California D1 Water Distribution Operator certification or higher.
- Recycled Water Site Supervisor certification.
- Credentials to work in San Diego County prior to start date.
- Must meet military installation access requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled backflow testing and document results.
- Diagnose deficiencies, repair devices, and retest after repairs.
- Follow manufacturer instructions and approved testing procedures.
- Report failed devices, required repairs, and service interruptions promptly.
- Complete certification forms, work orders, and maintenance records with photos.
- Maintain test kits, tools, and calibration records.
- Coordinate shutdowns and site access with management.
- Follow safe procedures and support quality control inspections.
