Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Atlanta to support the Backflow Prevention Cross-Connection Program. You will perform inspections, test and repair backflows, install devices, and maintain detailed program records to safeguard the potable water supply.

You will follow state requirements, educate stakeholders, and prioritize safe, compliant work across client facilities. A backflow license within 180 days and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
• Ability to obtain backflow license within 180 days.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with continued development of the Backflow Prevention Cross-Connection Program.
• Inspect sites for illegal water connections and eliminate them using proper devices.
• Test and repair backflows per industry standards and state laws.
• Follow backflow testing schedules regulated by state laws.
• Install backflows per applicable regulations and standards.
• Maintain detailed records of Backflow Devices and associated data.
