Job summary

FSS Technologies is seeking a Backflow Inspector and Tester to inspect, test, and document backflow prevention assemblies across Minnesota. You will work in the field, ensuring compliance with Minnesota Plumbing Code and ASSE standards, while delivering clear reports to clients and authorities.

Qualifications

• BT certification is required or active pursuit of certification.
• Current ASSE 5110 certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to read plumbing diagrams, site plans, and equipment specs.
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage a daily route.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test backflow assemblies at residential, commercial, and industrial sites across Minnesota.
• Ensure testing complies with Minnesota Plumbing Code and ASSE standards.
• Submit test reports to local authorities/portals within required timeframes.
• Tag tested devices with test date and license number.
• Identify failing assemblies and document deficiencies in work orders.
• Communicate results to customers and coordinate follow-up service.
