Job summary

The City of Saint Paul Department of Safety and Inspections is seeking a qualified individual to perform full performance inspections of plumbing and drainage work to ensure compliance with the Minnesota Plumbing Code, Minnesota State Building Code, and Saint Paul Regional Water Service Codes.

The role requires five years of experience as a State of Minnesota licensed journey level or master plumber, a Minnesota plumber license, a City competency card, a backflow tester certificate within one

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a State of Minnesota licensed journey level or master plumber.
• Must possess and maintain a State of Minnesota Plumber License.
• Must possess a competency card issued by the City of Saint Paul.
• Must possess a backflow tester certificate within one year of hire.
• Must hold a Minnesota Class D Driver's License or equivalent out-of-state license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and report on installations and alterations of plumbing work to ensure approved materials and proper workmanship.
• Issue orders and enforce corrections on non-compliant items.
• Perform tests of plumbing installations, equipment, and materials.
