The City of Atlanta seeks a Backflow Prevention Inspector to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local water regulations. You will inspect backflow assemblies, perform cross-connection testing, conduct water use surveys, and maintain records in Swift Comply and XC2.

This role collaborates with contractors, engineers, and public agencies, communicates findings, prepares inspection reports, and helps protect the drinking water system across the city.

Qualifications

• Backflow prevention and cross-connection testing experience.
• Ability to read plumbing plans and blueprints.
• Experience with backflow database systems (Swift Comply, XC2).

Responsabilités

• Examine water usage, perform cross-connection testing, and identify backflow prevention needs.
• Inspect backflow assemblies for compliance with codes.
• Maintain inspection records and organize customer data.
• Review construction plans and site maps for device installation.
• Prepare inspection reports and notify customers of violations.
• Coordinate inspections with contractors, engineers, and inspectors.
