Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in water distribution and backflow prevention.
• State of Georgia Water Distribution Certification.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• One year after hire to obtain State Backflow Certification.

Responsibilities

• Examine customer water usage and perform cross-connection tests.
• Inspect backflow assemblies for code compliance and maintenance needs.
• Log and organize inspection data and maintain files.
• Review construction plans and maps for backflow devices.
• Coordinate inspections with contractors, engineers, and regulators.
• Prepare inspection reports and notify customers of violations.
• Maintain backflow software records and due dates.
