Qargo is a cloud-based Transport Management Platform with offices in London, Chicago, and Ghent. We are a scale-up expanding across Europe, delivering an all-in-one system for planning, invoicing and analytics.

Join as a Backend Software Engineer in Ghent to build robust Python services and APIs, leveraging Django, GraphQL, Postgres, Kubernetes, PubSub, and Google Cloud to scale our TMS. You’ll collaborate across product teams, contribute to resilient cloud architecture and data flows, and own

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in IT/CS/Software Engineering and 2+ years backend experience.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Growth mindset—eager to learn, experiment and expand knowledge.
• Experience with writing and understanding complex SQL queries in Postgres & BigQuery.
• Knowledge of distributed queueing systems and large production Python codebases is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Back-end development of the TMS platform core functionality using Python, Django, and GraphQL.
• Build and maintain robust APIs and cloud-native services on Google Cloud.
• Improve architecture, data flows and cloud infrastructure for scalability.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and other backend engineers to solve real-world challenges.
• Contribute to reliability, performance and sustainable software delivery.
