Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer in Newark, NY for a 12-month engagement (with extension possible). The role focuses on designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting scalable backend services in Python and Java, with REST APIs and microservices.

You will work with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, Linux, Docker, CI/CD, and modern web technologies, collaborating across product, business, quality, and data teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Competenze

• Experience in Python and Java software development.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, databases, Linux, and CI/CD.

Mansioni

• Design and develop backend services, REST APIs, and modular or microservice-based applications using Python and/or Java.
• Design data access layers and integrations for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code using object-oriented design, SOLID principles, defensive validation, and appropriate error handling.
• Create unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews, defect resolution, release readiness, and production support.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines across cloud or Linux environments.
• Use Git, Maven, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and Jira to support development, documentation, testing, and delivery tracking.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and communicate technical tradeoffs, delivery risks, dependencies, and progress.
