Job summary

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Backend Software Engineer with a builder mindset and curiosity to join our NYC-area team. In this early-career role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend systems for a growing creator marketplace, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging PostgreSQL.

You will contribute to APIs, databases, and scalable services, while learning modern AI-assisted development tools and best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Strong backend development fundamentals.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools.
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn new technologies independently.
• Evidence of a strong builder mindset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site 5 days per week in the NYC Metropolitan Area.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications

• 0–2 years of primarily backend software engineering experience, including internships, projects, or other relevant technical experience.

• Strong programming and backend development fundamentals.
• Proficiency with or strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools.
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn new technologies independently.
• Evidence of a strong builder mindset, such as personal, academic, open-source, or side projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site 5 days per week in the NYC Metropolitan Area.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a startup, marketplace, high-growth technology company, or similar environment.
• Experience building and launching personal software projects.
• Experience with APIs, backend services, databases, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AI/automation technologies.Experience with database migrations.
• Experience as a founder or founding engineer.
• Git/GitHub and modern software development workflows.
