Job summary

Mia is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our backend team in Austin. You will design, develop, and operate scalable Python services for automotive retail workflows, with a focus on voice-enabled technology and NLP integrations.

You will implement robust APIs, deploy to cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while mentoring teammates. Hybrid work (3 days/wk in downtown Austin) is offered with strong health benefits and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend Python development.
• Experience with system design and scalable architecture.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) using Docker.
• Proficiency with data and databases and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong mentoring and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python.
• Architect efficient solutions for integrating technologies, including NLP/LLMs.
• Implement and optimize STT and TTS systems.
• Lead system design discussions for scalability and maintainability.
• Apply testing, CI/CD, and code quality practices.
• Mentor team members and foster technical growth.
• Stay current with AI/ML approaches and evaluate applications.
