Job summary

Athos Commerce is hiring a backend software engineer to own end-to-end Go microservices for search and merchandising platforms. You will build, maintain, and optimize high-availability services, collaborating with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to refine stories and ensure low latency.

Requirements include 1–4 years in backend development, a CS or related degree, and experience with distributed cloud systems and Go. Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Argo is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or software engineering.
• 1–4 years backend software engineering experience.
• Experience building distributed, cloud-based, high-availability systems.
• Production-grade Golang services.
• Familiar with Elasticsearch, Milvus, ScyllaDB, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Argo.
• E-commerce search/merchandising domain is a plus.
• AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini are optional.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end backend features for search and merchandising backends.
• Develop Go microservices and maintain high-availability services.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to refine stories.
• Ensure low latency and performance for key commerce workloads.
• Assist in onboarding junior engineers and drive process improvements.
