Job summary

Athos Commerce is seeking a backend engineer to own Go-based microservices for search and merchandising. You will work with Product, Design, QA and DevOps to deliver reliable, low-latency services and ship end-to-end features. The role emphasizes clean Go code, production readiness, and ongoing performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/SE or equivalent work experience.
• Strong background building distributed, cloud-based, high-availability systems.
• Experience writing production-grade Go services.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end backend features and Go microservices from design through deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and DevOps to refine stories and feasibility.
• Write clean, idiomatic Go and perform thorough peer reviews.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade production software while preserving performance SLAs.
• Help onboard junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
• Coordinate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and cloud infra.
