Job summary

BCforward is seeking an Application Programmer III to join our Backend Full Stack Java team in Charlotte, NC (with Plano, TX also considered) on a 12-month contract. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable Java and UI features.

• 4+ years of enterprise Java development with backend frameworks.
• UI experience with Angular and web technologies (HTML/JS/TS/CSS).
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle or other enterprise databases.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Splunk, or RHEL.
• Ability to collaborate in a hybrid environment as part of a team.

We are seeking a Backend Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic team supporting Forecast Connect Capital Planning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Angular, Typescript, and enterprise SQL and a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable services and UI features that meet acceptance criteria and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Code solutions and unit tests to satisfy defined stories and compliance requirements.
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining architectural integrity.
• Refine stories, define requirements, and estimate work across the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform proofs of concept to mitigate risk and validate new ideas.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites including integration, regression, and performance.
• Apply multiple architectural patterns and components to deliver solutions.
• Document and communicate deployment, maintenance, and support information for business functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of enterprise software development with Java and related backend frameworks.
• UI experience with Angular and at least one of HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, or CSS.
• Proficiency with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization practices.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle or strong SQL skills for enterprise databases.
• Familiarity with one or more of Jenkins, Git, JFrog/Artifactory, Splunk, or RHEL.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and deliver in a hybrid environment.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with solution architecture and DevOps practices.
• Prior experience with Forecast Connect Capital Planning or similar applications.
