Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team for the GWS-9 CIO Dashboard Metrics initiative. The ideal candidate will lead database design, performance tuning, and cross‑functional collaboration onsite in Charlotte.

The role requires hands-on Oracle SQL/PL/SQL development, scalable data processing solutions, and strong leadership to guide cross-disciplinary teams. Immediate start and onsite presence are required for this initiative.

Qualifications

• Extensive Oracle SQL/PL/SQL development experience with focus on performance tuning.
• Strong data modeling, indexing, partitioning, and Exadata optimization knowledge.
• Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP) and multi-source data ingestion.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team for the GWS-9_CIO Dashboard Metrics initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, database design, and performance tuning and a proven ability to deliver scalable, high‑performing data processing solutions and lead cross‑functional teams. This role requires onsite presence and an ASAP start.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Oracle Developers, SSIS Developers, and Database Testers.
• Drive solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support for database‑centric applications.
• Review and approve architecture, data models, SQL/PLSQL code, ETL workflows, and testing strategies.
• Collaborate with business, upstream and downstream systems, and architecture teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance best practices, and data quality controls.
• Oversee release planning, UAT coordination, defect resolution, and production support activities.
• Drive Agile delivery, sprint planning, prioritization, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development with advanced performance tuning.
• Data modeling, indexing, partitioning, and Oracle Exadata optimization.
• API integration using REST or SOAP and multi‑source data ingestion.
• Database testing, ETL testing, and test automation practices.
• Query optimization, execution plan analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Data quality, reconciliation, and validation frameworks.
• Bitbucket or Git, CI/CD, and release management experience.
• Agile or Scrum delivery and team leadership experience.
• Stakeholder management, requirement analysis, and solution design.
• Oracle Exadata and large‑scale enterprise data platforms experience.
• Database configuration and performance engineering.

Preferred Skills

• ETL, Data Warehouse, or Data Lake architecture using Informatica or Hadoop.
• SSIS, ETL design, and enterprise job scheduling such as Airflow.
