Job summary

Core Interface is seeking a Backend Developer to design and build backend services and data-processing pipelines in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes REST APIs, scalable data handling, and collaborating with a small team to maintain and improve existing systems.

The ideal candidate holds TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, a related degree or equivalent experience, and 5+ years in software development.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building APIs and services using REST.
• Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with Linux (preferred) or Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Git or other source control tools.
• Clear communication skills; comfortable working in a small, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and data processing pipelines using modern configuration management and software engineering practices.
• Build and maintain APIs and services supporting data ingest, processing, storage, and delivery.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing systems and platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and provide technical support for software and application issues.
• Recommend and implement improvements to system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with other engineers on the team to sustain and advance the organization's technical capabilities.
