Robinhood is building the Tokenization team to bring tokenized equities to tradable on-chain across the Robinhood Chain. As a Software Engineer, you’ll own backend services for issuance, custody, and settlement, ensuring correctness and auditability for real customer assets.

You’ll work across traditional market infrastructure and on-chain systems, collaborating with product, compliance, and platform teams, in a hybrid role based in Menlo Park, Toronto or New York with in-person collaboration 3

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Backend development with Go, Python, or Java; cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of system design and software fundamentals.
• Care for correctness-critical systems where money is at stake.
• Ownership mindset with track record of delivering end-to-end projects.
• Interest in blockchain fundamentals or willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy backend services for minting, custody, and on-chain settlement of tokenized equities.
• Develop features and platform enhancements with high correctness and scalability.
• Connect traditional market infrastructure with on-chain systems via smart contracts, indexers, and DEX flows.
• Improve system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, client, and platform teams to deliver solutions.
